  Bird s Nest Fern is often found growing on tree limbs and other structures from Southeast Asia to Africa, as well as in homes across the world. Loved as a houseplant for being one of the easier ferns to grow indoors, it s also distinctive with its long, thick fronds that radiate out from the center of the plant. 

  Its thick, almost leathery fronds, make Bird s Nest Fern more drought tolerant than your average fern. It tolerates low light, but truly thrives in a bright spot (within 3 to 4 feet of a large, unobstructed east- or west-facing window). It can be supplemented – or grow entirely – under artificial lights, as well. Water as the top quarter to half or so of the potting mix dries to the touch, provide average household temperatures, and average to above-average relative humidity levels (above 40 percent is optimal).
